HD Doctor for Samsung Is Upgraded To V1.5

SalvationDATA will release update for v1.5 to support new Spinpoint drives produced since 2010. Supported features include firmware reading/writing, firmware check and password removal etc. The following is about the new Samsung hard drives:

Samsung produced new Spinpoint drives since 2010, i.e. HM321HI. Although they also belong to Spinpoint, PCB layout is completely different from old ones, as shown below.

In the picture, the upper drive is produced in 2009 with Model of HM320JI while the drive below is produced in 2010 with Model of HM321HI. It’s very clear from the picture that the drive produced since 2010 has the completely different layout. Therefore, PCB version of HM321HI is changed to MERCURY REV.07 while HM320JI has the version of MANGO_REV.03.

Compared to the old Spinpoint, new Spinpoint produced since 2010 has no big improvement in technology structure despite the PCB layout has been changed. However, there are some changes in technology commands. SalvationDATA apply these changes to v1.5 to support the new drives.

The release of HD Doctor for Samsung V1.5 is a big step forward to for Samsung HDD repair and data recovery, SalvationDATA is preparing more upgrades to Samsung HD Doctor.
